Recap:
TFB left the USS Gerald Ford to investigate the status of Trollhattan keep. Since it's lord was killed last session, it was ripe for the taking. Mont Kaskad claimed it as his own and looted it of its riches(2000GP + an ornamental sword), generously donating the funds to TFB's treasury.
Back in Solna, TFB investigated rumors of youths cavorting in the forest. Mary Land tried to get in with these youths by showing them her cool magic. She summoned two ocelots, but had to sacrifice a chicken she just bought for this purpose. The youths were impressed enough to show us their cavorting spot.
Mary tried pawning off her cats to an old fisherman, who could not trade with gold, but gave up his daughter and some other things in exchange for these exotic pets. The daughter, Melissa, was given a pistol and inaugurated into TFB. She immediately shot a local boy dead.
While being guided through the forest by a teenager, TFB encountered a group of bare chested berserkers who bore religious markings inked on their skin. These were the Sons of Thunder, guardians of the nearby temple of Thor. Brick Schidtt impressed them with a feat of strength, by lifting a really big dead tree.
They welcomed TFB into their temple and informed the squad of their troubles with the Little People, who they referred to as agents of chaos and an 'inferior race'. TFB saw a potential strategic partnership with the little folk and so planned to eliminate the Sons of Thunder via ambush at night. Also, Truffle Pig smelled a lot of gold somewhere in this temple.
While the berserkers slept in their temple, Truffle Pig rigged 2 breaching charges to the entrance. Kaskad, riding Big Thumb the ogre, burst through the wall and opened fire on them with his AR. One Thumb came in swinging.
Confused and scared, some of the berserkers made for the door at the other end, only to be caught in the breaching blast. Odyssea then threw a grenade into the breach and Mary Land cast a poisonous cloud while the others opened fire. In the ensuing chaos, Mary Land was ordered to kill the teenager who guided the squad here.
One of the clerics of Thor emerged and cast a curse on the entire squad save Kaskad and Big Thumb. Piggy was downed and the others suffered from madness. Kaskad then fired on the ceiling, bringing down the whole structure, eliminating the cleric.
With Truffle Pig stabilized TFB looted the premises and received 5000GP and an apple worth 10 points of Viz which Mary Land pocketed.
After the battle, Karskad returned to his keep and rallied the Knights into joining NATO. One day, they too shall be armed with automatic firearms.
The team then returned to the USS Gerald Ford, congratulating themselves on a clean op.
